A Haul Without Pictures 5/23/23
I considered buying the Profusion Cosmetics Moonstone Eyeshadow Palette. But it was quite big and I do have some other eyeshadow palettes that I need to make better use of, so I skipped it this time. I do think that I will go back for it when I start posting content regularly. I've never used anything from Profusion before but the palette looked rather nice. It included an array of neutral browns, some grays, a couple of blacks, some chunky glitters that, sadly, are most likely not eye safe.
If you, reader, have used any Profusion products, do let me know in the comments.
(I have no idea what this writing style is. "Do let me know in the comments." I don't know who I think I am. I'm in a weird mood.)
Anyway! Moving on to the products I actually purchased.
I'm still new to blogging so I won't be including pictures but I will attempt to add links.
The first thing I picked up was the Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in the shade 740A "Ticket to Brazil". I had used this bronzer years ago when it still came in a big round compact. Wet n Wild did some rebranding and repackaging a few years ago, so it now comes in a rectangular compact. I think I remember hearing that they also reformulated this bronzer but I don't remember for sure.
I really liked this bronzer when I previously used it. It was buildable and suited my completion very well.
Next I found the e.l.f. Ultimate Blending Brush. I've been using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply my foundation for years, but my first one, that I bought years ago, got damaged so I had to replace it a year or two ago. The new Expert Face Brush is a little different though. A little more oval shaped than the one I had before and I'm not quite as happy with it as I was with my first. It's still a good brush, but I like something a little rounder and slightly flatter for applying my foundation. The e.l.f. Ultimate Blending Brush looks like it might be a good substitute. It's a duo fiber synthetic brush and it feels very soft. It's flatter then the Expert Face Brush but still slightly domed. It should be a good blush brush if it doesn't work for foundation.
Then I came across the CoverGirl Clean Fresh Yummy Gloss. I got two, one in the shade 100 "Let's Get Fizzical" and 450 "But First A Cosmo".
"Let's Get Fizzical" is a shade of pink somewhere between a strawberry pink and a cotton candy pink. It's a slightly hazy translucent gloss that looks like it will give a subtle hint of color when worn (I haven't opened either shade yet).
"But First a Cosmo" is a nice, punchy, pinky red. It's also translucent, but looks like it will give a little more color than "Let's Get Fizzical".
I'm really looking forward to trying these.
Lastly I got the CoverGirl Clean Fresh Tinted Lip Balm in 200 "Made for Peach". I've been wanting to add some more tinted lip balms to my collection. It looks like it will be a nice peachy orange color. I don't have any orange lip products at the moment, so I'm happy to rectify that.
That's all for now. I might right a review of some or all of these products once I had a chance to use them. Be sure to follow me on Instagram (@glittersequins) and on YouTube (@GlitterAndSequins) where I will hopefully be putting these products to good use sometime soon.
Till then, leave me a comment and tell me about what new beauty products you've bought recently. Or, about a new/new to you product you're hoping to try soon.
Thanks for reading! Love, Grace. 😘
How much was the lip gloss? Not that I need to spend money right now, but anyway... 👀
ReplyDeleteThey were $8 each.
